Guildhall is proud to offer the 2025 1/2 oz gold Philharmonic coin produced by the Austrian Mint and features a legal tender face value of €50.
It is composed of 1/2 troy ounce of 999.9 fine (24-karat) gold.
Coin design and specifications
- Obverse: Displays the Great Organ found in Vienna’s Golden Hall, a music hall within the Musikverein, the home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Inscriptions include “REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH” and the coin’s weight, purity, year of issue, and face value.
- Reverse: Features a collection of instruments from the orchestra, including a cello, four violins, a Viennese horn, a bassoon, and a harp. The inscription “WIENER PHILHARMONIKER” appears at the top.
- Designer: Both the obverse and reverse were designed by Thomas Pesendorfer.
